Technical assistance for the implementation of the SUDH projects will be provided by international consultants with previous experience of district heating projects in Ukraine funded by International Financial Institutions. For this purpose, Nefco has entered into framework agreements with two consulting companies, AFRY from Sweden and Ramböll from Denmark, as a result of an open competitive procurement process in which four companies were shortlisted. Each consulting company will be responsible for project assignments to support the implementation of SUDH projects based on its specific experience and availability of key experts.

“The SUDH projects are selected based on their ability to demonstrate that it is possible to raise Ukrainian district heating to a level that has been successfully applied in the Nordic region for a long time. It is therefore important that the project focus defined in the finalised feasibility studies is maintained and developed during the implementation phase. We are pleased to be able to offer experienced and competent consultants to support the local project implementation units,” says Ronny Nilsson, SUDH Programme Manager at Nefco.

The technical assistance provided for the implementation of the SUDH projects is financed by Sweden.
